What is Burlesque?

Burlesque is a form of performance art that combines music, dancing, satire, striptease, comedy, circus or other elements. There are many different styles of burlesque and it has a long history as a form of entertainment.
 
There are lots of books, videos, websites and blogs explaining what burlesque is in a historical and modern context.

Do you do private dances?

Accepted Answer

No. I do not perform one to one for individuals. I can be booked for burlesque and cabaret shows, weddings, birthdays, fetish parties, shop openings, festivals and just about any other event you might want me at!

Will you work for free/exposure?

Accepted Answer

Definitely not. I have worked as a performer for a long time and have spent years practising, buying, making and upgrading costumes, learning my craft and promoting myself. I have to pay tax, a mortgage and bills just like you do. I do not work for free.
If you have a particular budget in mind for your show then please ask me and we can work something out.
